That's so good to hear!!! You inspire me! Keep it up!

That's phenomenal! Congrats! A month can seem like eternity when you are living with the kinds of stress we do. I am very proud of you and I admire your strength and self control.
Keep going strong! And if you do happen to slip up, try not to beat yourself up about it too much. Just dust yourself off and keep going.

Re: Made a good decision today, I think.
going to my first AA meeting tonight at the suggestion of a couple people i trust. still not sure if i'm an alcoholic or not (even typing that word is terrifying..) but quitting drinking has brought up a whole host of other issues, and i've finally come to the conclusion that even though i've been able to stop drinking on my own.. checking out AA couldn't hurt.
i'm fucking scared though.

AND, AA is not for me.
not sure if it was just the meeting i went to or what, but.. not for me.
I am not an alcoholic. the people at the meeting told me that pretty much. they were very nice and listened to me cry about some things that are going on in my life, but it's just not the place for me.
i'm up for trying to find a support group, i like the dynamic, but i don't need it from the AA perspective.

As long as you keep trying. What topics do you think you would want to talk about in a group setting? There's a group for everything these days...
Support groups aren't my thing (as an introvert with "sharing" issues), but I went through a cycle with one 5 years ago that actually helped a bit. I was very surprised.
