handling latest dip in depression fairly well...

Post by manuel_moe_g »

I hate not having an excuse to nap in the middle of the day! 8-) :D

Lazy Moe! :naughty:

My daughter is going on a week-long school trip -- cruise-ship heading out of Florida to the Bahamas. We have Buddha statues in the house, and I have my "Christ the Good Shepard" little statue. I prayed to all of them for my daughter to have fun and return safely. I also prayed for strength. I am not truly a believer, but I desperately need help to improve.

Lately, I have been taking 400 mg of caffeine 55 minutes before I have to get out of bed. Taking the caffeine pills because not excited about any of the energy drinks, sugar-free or not.

Thinking about clearly spelling out the embarrassing "low-energy/low-focus" versions of my goals and dreams. Time saved from not wasting time in ways designed to soothe my constant anxiety would leave me some time for my embarrassing "low-energy/low-focus" versions of my goals.

I am tired. Things are good, I guess, but definitely not great. It is a scary way to live, 5 minutes at a time, sometimes.

Yay for small victories! I agree that living 5 minutes at a time can be scary, but you gotta do what you gotta do and I'm happy you're feeling alright despite depression trying to take over.

I'm super jealous of your daughter's trip. I'm sure she'll have lots of fun
