Really appreciate the sharing RIT, and I won't lie, I found humor in the idea of being lost while working on a program that has to do with mapping and geography. Like your an explorer and get lost in the world, absolutely incredible.
I gotta say that the post really vibrated with me, I like to be creative, mostly filming and entertaining have been things that I enjoy, but I often get into my head of "wow, this sucks" or "you really don't know what you're doing" I've actually stopped myself from doing a lot because I think if I'm not good at it, it isn't worth pursuing, which sucks because rationally I know it doesn't make sense.
Honestly, no judgment to you if you get sucked into something your enjoying and you get into a rhythm for hours. I think it's hard when we get stuck and can't continue, it's really frustrating. I know what I'm trying to do when I get to that point is walk away, and let myself consider if I really pursue this thread if I don't have the capacity at the moment ya know?
I have no idea if I made sense but I hope this helps a bit.

Re: Lost & confused
Wow that is hilarious! I never would have made that connection, being lost while working on a map feature!
Yeah, walking away at the right time would be a good approach. If I could do that, walk away ~before~ my mind becomes flooded with toxic shame and convinced that I am a complete failure.
I’ll get there someday.
You will, too.
