Does anyone have any recommendations for research material I can read on this topic? Books or medical journals? I would really like to understand better so as to not make judgments and assumptions. If any therapists are reading this and you can help please do.

I got diagnosed with DID too in treatment for PTSD, because I would just talk about when I was raped like it didn't mean anything to me. Now the floodgates are open and it's pretty much all I can think about... But apparently this is good because it will help me deal with it in the long run, and get me back to reality.

Uuuuggghhhh. :x
You can never change where you're from
No matter who I will accuse
I'm gonna get on with a better life
And one day I won't be bad news

My therapist diagnosed me with DID the Fall of 2013. He first diagnosed me with PTSD in Fall 2011 a couple of months after starting therapy. It has been a bumpy road, but I feel like I am getting somewhere.
