A girlfriend once asked me, why all my art was so depressive, since I always was so nice, polite and happy around everybody. If the time I brushed it off as a style choice, but looking back some of the stuff was pretty dark:

Re: Dark Arts
This is awesome! It is like he is in a cave, and holding his own blood like a torn sheet. I don't think there is anything necessarily wrong with the dark side - life can be dark and intense, and dealing with that side of life is part of being resilient. All the best, please post more artwork!

Re: Dark Arts
Some of the best art is hella dark. Look at Goya! I never find it depressing. Once it's externalized and given form, the pain has been transformed. I love this one.
Re: Dark Arts
Your gallery is really impressive. And about the discrepancy between your art and your character ... in it's healthiest form I think art is the valve to let out all the dark stuff. So we are not happy despite our dark art, but because of it. The nastier my writing and drawings are, the calmer I feel.
