father's's day cards sugestions

Post by Lilac »

Happy Fathers's day. I hope you have the day you deserve.

Happy Father's day. You did a shitty job but I hope you have a good day anyway.

Dear Dad. You suck. You did then and you do now. Have a day like all of those you have given me.

I know you don't have fathering skills, but still you could have tried a little bit harder.

Dear Dad. When you have a kid, the world no longer revolves around you. Just saying.

#5 is definitely Hallmark card material.

My ideal would be:

Happy Father's Day, Dad! You've help me become the emotionally illiterate woman I am today! Let's remain distant for another year until mom forces me to call you again.

I've often (like every birthday and mother's day) thought that someone should corner the market on cards for shitty parents. This niche needs to be filled. The amount of hours spent looking for the most vague, non-complimentary card I can find is really too much. For a couple years I just didn't do any card at all but the stupid guilt. The stupid guilt.
