Poem - Silence

Post by TonyM_Guest »

I was literally driving on the freeway today and this came pretty much fully formed. I just had to get to where I was going so I could write it all done.
silence.
quiet.
the echoing of memories that I wish i did not have.
the reverberating of regrets from my past.
the rage at what was done to me.
the leaning in to the lessons i have learned.
the letting go of resentment and pain.
the gratitude for what I have built for myself.
quiet.
silence.
peace.

Hello Tony,

I appreciated it as well. Don't be afraid to post things like this, they are edifying.

(Once in awhile I've had to pull over to jot something down. Such a relief to get it on paper, right? For awhile I carried a pocket recorder when my thoughts were racing, just to be able to get things out and not go round-and-round. Need to go back and re-listen to them now, might be interesting...)
