BDD and Transgendered questions

Post by ghughes1980 »

have my own issues with body dysmorphia and I don't identify as Transgendered but I'm curious. Once you take steps to be more like you feel on the inside does the anxiety and OCD symptoms ease? I know that will never be my path (changing sexes etc) I'm quite neutral about my sexual health etc but I do wonder sometimes. If I where to listen to my thoughts and actually go through with them (amputation etc) whether anything would actually change? Would I feel better? (I doubt it) I'd just find something else wrong and harp on that. Anyway I am anxiously waiting for a response.
