"Stop crying all the time, you're being a baby. Buck up and handle your shit."
And he responds with
"I've actually thought of telling you that."

That depends on you I would say. If you are a person who beats yourself up in your head already this would be very terrible. Reading this makes me anxious and think about conversations I would have in my head imagining how to tell the therapist off.
Overall I think that's a very irresponsible thing to say to someone. If they did actually think you were being unreasonable they might ask you if you thought what you were thinking was true or accurate in any way. I would probably not trust my therapist at all after they asked that.
