Apple's Loves

I love...

- The way my little Dog will flop against my leg with a heavy sigh.
- The way a perfect, flat plane of snow sparkles under moonlight on a crisp, cold evening with a black sky above and ice glittering in the trees.
- When there is just a little breeze on a warm spring day that makes the trees show the undersides of their leaves.
- The way light streams through the canopy of leaves and you can see the beam of light. The Japanese have a word for this: Komorebi.
- A good head shot in a zombie game like Left4Dead.
- My heated blanket. Oh god do I love it.
- That my parents ensured I had a proper musical education in classic Rock N Roll of the 70s, and the 80s.
- That my little dog waits in the bay window for me every day after work and greets me with full body wags and sometimes a toy.
- The smell of lilacs drifting in through my window on a sunny Saturday morning when I can hear the distant roar of the engines at the nearby racetrack.
- hearing my late Father's voice singing along with the late Peter Steele of Type O Negative in my memories when I listen to their music.
