Curious - Who is still looking at this forum? Anyone?

It's tapered off to zero over the last few months.
Is anybody out there?

(Besides the spammers?  )

Hi SD, this forum will probably not recover. The views you're seeing could be bots.

Btw, the Discord channel imo isn't a good substitute for me, although I acknowledge Manny's heroic efforts to keep the wheels turning over there. And there are of course a multitude of other psych forums but I don't feel at home there either, since the tendency nowadays is for people to just zip in and out without any consistency using throwaway accounts.

I have this impossibile wish for another deep, slow, free, very low-key forum online to allow people from all over the world to share mental health journeys. No apps or special platforms, just via browser. But something like that would have to be heavily moderated in this day and age.

Hello Troebia,

Yeah, not sure what happened here. Way back it was hopping. (Still interesting to do a deep dive sometimes)

This platform is somewhat clunky and crash-and-lockup prone, but there *are* some basic aspects that aren't duplicated on Discord.... Someone posts something on Discord, and if you're there to see it, that's good.
But it quickly then gets swept out and away.
(Isn't that how so much of the web and social is these days?)

On Discord I've started a few threads to try to steer the flow but there's been no uptake.

(And I can see no one likes poetry or art much either  )

Bumping this up to keep ahead of the spam post counts

(I guess the world is in shock these days, huh.)

Maybe lots of people like it that way. What I'm finding less and less attractive about the Discord is that there seem to be many "cat ladies". There aren't many I can relate to.
