Resources - aside from hotline

Post by amablethepoet »

HI all 0 I am new here so please let me know if there is a better place to put this to reach a broader audience.

As many of you know there are national hotlines and local hotline for suicide talk-lines and hotlines. There are some for veterans, youth, and general population, people you can call when you are feeling severely depressed, suicidal, or isolated.
They can be called, as Paul says, through a local access line or by dialing 211 from a landline.

Call 1-800-273-TALK (8255)

HOWEVERE< if you are just needing someone with the chat with online, not a professional, there is a great depression chat room that usually has at least 40 different people, you can go and go private and discuss issues and just get stress off yoru chest. Here is the link:

Finally, here is a good summary of the precursors to suicide to help you understand yourself and others, it is from a PhD psychologist whose father committed suicide:

The best to all of you.
