Take care, Mental Fairy.

Watched Obi-Wan with my daughter, good stuff.

Tomorrow could be one of the worst days of my life

Hello Manny,

Glad you got the spam under control. I PM'd you - there's a thread on the phpBB site about this nonsense and how to possibly get a handle on it.

Not sure what to make of "worst day of my life". That is freaking serious.
But let us know how you are. We're a lifeline, maybe made of gossamer but still.... ;)

We're so often trapped in our own minds. An outside view once in awhile is so helpful in getting some balance.

(I can get swept away in my own cogitations if I let go. I think it's getting heavier as I get older).

Was going down into the pits this afternoon, but then the "noisy new neighbor" invited me over for their Father's day gathering. Had a nice time, and actually won at the Peruvian "Sapo" game they'd set up. Got the coin in the frog's mouth!

i have no direct control of this terrible situation

i can only try to spiritually manifest the desired outcome

try to feel it in my guts and in the back of my head

i cannot meditate, too many swirling thoughts

but can focus on my breathing, while breathing in a controlled, measured way

be present

i feel sad

Manuel Moe, good for you for sharing.

In addition to breathing, here are two similar actions that have helped me in these situations:

1. Fill 1/3 of a ziplock bag with ice and water. Feel the satisfying cold.

2. Name what your senses are picking up:

A. Five visual
B. Four auditory
C. Three touch

Hth!

Keep posting my friend!
