first post, had a dream about my ex wife last night

I had a short dream about my ex wife. That relationship ended in a train wreck that included her cheating, and me trying and failing to put that relationship back together. I thought I had no feelings for her, but in the dream I had a pleasant conversation and mentioned that it would be odd if we had lunch without letting her current husband know. I really thought I had quashed any feeling about her, but I guess somethings are just burned into a soul. I really don't want to think about her in a neutral way, I don't think I am ready.

In many ways, dreams are not indicative of our true desires. The current scientific thinking is that dreaming helps us practice mentally for possible stressful situations, or could just be random neurons firing. I wouldn't put too much weight, and I would not take it as evidence that you progress in moving on in a self-loving way is not strong.
