If the possibility of intuitive ability exists, it is irresponsible to categorically deny its existence. To do so, causes harm.
Just prior to sharing his advertisement from Jordan Harbinger, attacking people with psychic ability, Paul Gilmartin improvved on humping stuffed animals, at length. Then endorsed BetterHelp.com. To set context.
"All are psychics fake. They're con artists. They're all fake."
...
This, is wrong.
....
My grandmother showed me healing and laying on of hands, when I was less than 10 years old. She was a wife, a grandmother, and a mother. She made me stuffed animals from scraps of fabric. My grandmother Mildred lived through the Great Depression of 1929, and was very poor. I love her still.
She was also psychic. And taught me, that it was normal, and a gift in our family. It is not always a pleasant skill to have. It was not to be used for money, or deception. Not in our family.
It is very common, for people of a particular gender, race, and socio-economic demographic, to feel entitled to assert, as Jordan Harbinger did repeatedly on the Melinda Hill episode 11/2020, that "All psychics are fake." People attack that which they do not understand.
Your podcast is wrong. Jordan Harbinger is wrong.
Not everyone with this skill talks about it [precisely due to your endorsement and actions on display]. The obvious attacks and aggression, disappoint.
I've been listening to this show since the beginning, years now.
One option is to educate yourself, rather than negating some of us, for air time. Below, find 3 sources that may help in that endeavor, should you choose to do so.

"The U.S. Military Believes People Have a Sixth Sense" is an article from Time magazine, talking with Dr. Peter Squire.
https://time.com/4721715/phenomena-annie-jacobsen/
"In 2014, the Office of Naval Research embarked on a four-year, $3.85 million research program to explore the phenomena it calls premonition and intuition, or “Spidey sense,” for sailors and Marines."
"Fifty years ago in Vietnam, Joe McMoneagle used his sixth sense to avoid stepping on booby traps, falling into punji pits, and walking into Viet Cong ambushes. His ability to sense danger was not lost on his fellow soldiers, and the power of his intuitive capabilities spread throughout his military unit. Other soldiers had confidence in this subconscious ability and followed McMoneagle’s lead. In a life-or-death environment there was no room for skepticism or ignominy. If it saved lives, it was real. Russia has a long history of using psychics in their military, and invests in training psychic spies that use remote viewing, for their military.
In this article from History.com, several U.S. military veterans discuss their work of psychic remote viewing in the U.S. Military Project: Star Gate. In 2017, they declassified the documents from this.

Hello PhryneFisher,
I haven't followed the links or listened to J.B.'s yet, but had a couple of thoughts.
Not sure why Paul mentioned this subject in particular, maybe just talking about his friend's podcast, and this was the latest subject? Also, there must be something that would lead J.B. to explore this subject.
There certainly are charlatans in this field, ready to take monetary and other advantage of people seeking help in their time of need. Harry Houdini spent much of his time debunking séances and such...

Maybe not really what you're talking about with your grandmother, no offense intended here.
Do you have any favorite stories about her, and how she helped others with her gift?
Regards
SD

Many months have passed since I posted the above.
I had hoped the creator of this podcast might acknowledge. Alas.
After months of meditation and work, I have posted a podcast, partially in response to MentalPod's episode criticizing psychics.
The House on Valencia Street, is where I grew up. It was haunted. The podcast uses explicit language, and the topics discussed are ghosts, psychic ability, rape, incest, emancipation, therapy, recovery, Buddhism and managing PTSD symptoms, daily.
Another perspective ~
