Hello Troebia,

I was thinking about you too on my latest road trip.
I spent an afternoon in the Detroit Institute of Art, and wished you were there with me to appreciate all they have.

It's a world-class collection from around the world... Babylonian to Modern, and lots in-between.
Here are a few things that caught my eye, a little jumbled in order.

I saw a full-sized repro of Noah's Ark in the airport last time, and then in the museum. Quite striking and original.
Experiencing art IRL is essential.
It certainly is. The artistic impulse is so strong in us humanoids thru the ages.
I always think how fascinating it would be to take any one of these paintings, sculptures or other, and be able to see the painstaking process of creating it. Some things take years!
