I looked into body donation here last week and wow it’s such a criteria to be accepted. People who fit the criteria and do donate themselves are people I would like to meet.

I've thought about donating my body to "science".... but maybe I'd rather be cremated and just a memory ....

The practical, helpful part of me thinks the former and the romantic and melancholy part thinks the latter....

("How would you like to be remembered?"... Sometimes I think - "Not at all....." )

Two days ago I got a call from the blood donation center that I've been going to.
There's a blood and platelet shortage, somewhat summer-seasonal, and they asked me to come in because apparently, I'm a match for someone in need.

That was nice to hear and made it a bit more special.

I've donated half a dozen times this year already, but this felt a little different.

("Someone needs what I gots to give" :) )

That is a nice feeling to have. I wish more people donated. We have a real shortage here.

She came back to the milkweed!
Sure of it, since we haven't seen any monarchs for the last few weeks since we found the eggs.

Such a small, but awesome thing! :D
We saw the first Monarch of 2025 today, laying eggs on our Milkweed! The fun begins!
These lovely creatures always make me feel a little better.

Cut a few stalks, and they're now in vases on the porch. Now, waiting and watching..... :D
